Former Fullerton police officer accused of video recording up high school student’s skirt faces criminal charges
A former Fullerton police officer accused of secretly photographing and videotaping up a high school student’s skirt, while on duty, was charged Monday with disorderly conduct, prosecutors announced. Jose Anthony Paez, a former Fullerton police school resource officer, could face up to a year in jail if convicted of the misdemeanor offense, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Officials declined to disclose the high school that Paez was working at.

Laguna Beach welcomes students back to school — a week earlier than usual
Anticipation hung in the air around Laguna Beach High School on Monday for the first day of the new school year — a week earlier than usual. Teachers called out “happy first day” greetings to one another at the courtyard. Students decked out in sparkly earrings, bright sneakers and backpacks full of fresh supplies skittered through the hallways to find their classrooms.
