What’s for lunch? Ocean View School District debuts 13,000-square-foot kitchen
airplane meals. Come the new year, however, 9,000 kids in Huntington Beach and its neighboring cities might have a few fewer gripes. On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Ocean View School District debuted its Central Kitchen, built from the ground up on Warner Avenue near Beach Boulevard. “We have had to rely on pre-packaged, processed food bought from vendors,” said Superintendent Carol Hansen. “This will allow us to serve healthy options, prepared from scratch by our own employees.”
