OCDE is partnering with the Orange County Human Relations Commission to host two forums in January that will explore the impact that hate has on students and the school community.

Her classmates had lunch debt. So this California 5-year-old found a way to pay it off |
After 5-year-old Katelynn Hardee heard another student’s mother say that she was having trouble “paying for something,” Katelynn came up with a plan, according to CNN. She asked her mother if she could set up a stand to sell hot cocoa and cookies.

Pasadena Unified school board at odds with district staff on financial situation |

As staff on Thursday hailed the early report as a solid effort to stabilize district finances, school board members harangued the team for continued deficit spending and haphazard pecuniary habits in the wake of four school closures.

School Board Member Sues District |
Laguna Beach Unified School District board member Dee Perry filed a lawsuit Tuesday in California federal court, claiming Superintendent Jason Viloria and her fellow board members have violated her constitutional rights to free speech, due process, and equal protection. The legal complaint in U.S. District Court is apparently the result of failed months-long negotiations between attorneys for Perry and the Laguna Beach Unified School District.
