Arts & Learning Conservatory celebrates 20 years with expansion
Debora Wondercheck started the Arts & Learning Conservatory as a musical theater camp 20 years ago with 21 children, giving them lessons in acting, singing and playing instruments. Having experienced the transformative power of the performing arts in her own life, the Chicago transplant wanted youngsters, particularly those from underserved backgrounds who couldn’t afford quality performing arts instruction, to also become empowered through the arts.
